SMALL CHANGE. BETTER BROWSING.

Your screen has more to give.

Safari leaves a strip beside your page for its controls. Edgewide lets the page extend beneath it, with thoughtful adjustments to the content around it.

Give the page some breathing room.

Talk to us
Is Edgewide really free?

Yes. Edgewide is a free app. You don’t need an Edgewide account to use it. The App Store launch is planned for November 7, 2026.

Which display is Edgewide made for?

Edgewide is designed for Safari on the iPhone Duo’s outer display. It checks the screen and page layout before applying changes. Other screen sizes and pages that declare a desktop-width layout are left as they are.

Will every page work perfectly?

Websites use many different layouts, so some can need extra care. If a page looks wrong, use the site exception in Edgewide’s Safari menu, or switch Wide off to restore it. Complex embedded content and custom controls may not adjust. Safari Reader view is not supported; leave Reader to use Wide.

Can I decide which websites it works on?

Yes. Safari lets you grant access to individual websites or all websites. Inside Edgewide, you can also exclude a specific site while keeping Wide enabled elsewhere.

What happens when I rotate my phone?

Edgewide responds to orientation changes. Enable Detect controls side automatically to use Safari’s available screen signals and the Duo orientation calibration. You can also turn automatic detection off and choose Left or Right yourself.

Does Edgewide collect browsing information?

The app and extension don’t send browsing history, page content, form entries, or device identifiers to us. Layout changes happen on your phone. Preferences and the hostnames of sites you exclude are stored locally. Read our privacy policy for the full details.

How do I go back to the original layout?

Open the Safari page menu, choose Edgewide, then select Off. You can also disable Edgewide under Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions. Wide starts off, so you decide when to enable it.

A little more room for whatever’s next.
